ITINERARY :
Pick up from your hotel in Dar es salaam at Hotel drive to Selous its 5 – 6 hours arriver for game viewing, evening boat safari along Rufiji River which its take 1hour and half, dinner and overnight at the chosen Camp.
You will have 2 full days in the Selous Game Reserve while exploring the Reserve. The Selous, famous for its elephants, was originally set aside as a hunting area where animals are abundant but more shy then the Northern Parks.
Our foot safari will give us a particularly intimate feel for the African wilds, while excursions by Land rover will permit us to have good photographic opportunities and the chance to explore different sections of vast park. Discover the Rufiji River by boat, encounter hippos and crocodiles in good numbers. Some 350 bird species have been recorded in the Selous Game Reserve. These are typical of miombo woodland, and the bird life supported by Rufiji swamplands is of particular interest.
In the morning departure to Mikumi National Park while crossing the Northern Selous. There is a rich variety bird species as well as large numbers of giraffes, buffaloes and elephants and close to the water holes also lions, leopards and hippos. Furthermore you can see zebras, lions, wild dogs, pythons, hartebeest, wildebeest, elephants, impala, warthog, eland and antelop. Several observation towers enable you to overview the park in its entirety.
In this day you wake up early morning game drives through the Park. After breakfast, return to Dar es salaam City.
